Man arrested following Arson Attack in Ballymena

Detectives investigating an arson attack on a house in the Castle Gardens area of Ballymena have arrested a 22 year old man.

He is currently assisting police with enquiries.

Police are also investigating reports of criminal damage to houses in the Castle Gardens and Casement Street area.

Detective Constable Sharkie would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area between 12.05am and 5.45am this morning and noticed any suspicious activity to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime, Ballymena quoting reference number 351 25/09/16.

Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
