Man charged with creeper burglary

Police have charged a 32-year-old man with a number of offences, including aggravated vehicle taking, taking a motor vehicle without authority and failing to stop for police. He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Monday 18 May. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The 32-year-old was released on bail pending further enquiries in connection with an arrest on suspicion of burglary (non-dwelling). He was released unconditionally in connection with an arrest on suspicion of dangerous driving.

The charges relate to the investigation of a creeper burglary in Cranmore Park, Belfast. A stolen car was subsequently spotted being driven in North Queen Street, Belfast, in the early hours of Saturday morning, 16 May.
