A 30 year old man has been sentenced to three years probation and will be required to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register following his conviction for child sex offences.

Seamus O’Leary was convicted of ‘Sexual Communication with a Child’ and ‘Causing or Inciting a Child between 13 & 16 to Engage in Sexual Activity’ for offences committed against a teenage girl in 2016.

PSNI’s Public Protection Branch is committed to investigating all reports of sexual crime and we will actively seek to place offenders before the courts so they can be held accountable for their crimes. We have specially trained officers who will treat you with sensitivity and respect. I would continue to encourage anyone who has experienced any form of sexual assault to contact police on 101.”
