NIFRS Fire Investigation Officers To Begin Conducting Their Investigation To Determine The Cause Of Fire At Primark Belfast

In a statement this evening A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Spokesperson said:

“The incident at Primark, Castle Street, Belfast is ongoing, however operations continue to be scaled back, it is envisaged that 1 Fire Appliance will remain at the scene overnight as a precautionary measure.

The existing cordon remains in place with 14 businesses within the cordoned area.

“NIFRS Fire Investigation Officers will now begin conducting their investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

“We commend Fire Crews for their tremendous efforts during this challenging incident, the valuable assistance provided by our partner agencies and the support from the public during this time.”
