
Police can confirm that a man, aged in his 40s, has died following a two vehicle rtc that occurred on the Clooney Road in Derry/Londonderry at approximately 12.50am on Sunday 4 September.
A man aged in his 50s and a woman aged in her 50s were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Inspector Smyth said: “The rtc involved a silver Ford Ka and a grey Peugeot 308. I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the cars in the area to contact Strand Road Police Station or the Collision Investigation Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 70 of 04/09/16.”
The Clooney Road currently remains closed to traffic. Diversions are in place.
