TRAFFIC & TRAVEL : Black Preceptory Parade – Limavady

Drivers in Limavady are advised to expect delays in the town on Saturday, 25th August due to the annual the Royal Black Preceptory Parade.

There is a feeder parade from 11.30am until 12 noon. The feeder parade route is Monneyrannel Road, Baranailt Road, Lisnakilly Road, Catherine Street, Linenhall Street, Main Street, Alexander Road (entrance below Tesco).

The main parade outward route is from 12 noon until 2pm. The route is Rathmore Road /Alexander Road / Scroggy Road, Church Street, Ballyclose Street, Main Street, Linenhall Street, Catherine Street, Roemill Road, William Street, Protestant Street, Catherine Street (to rear of bus shelter), Irish Green Street, Roemill Gardens, Roemill Road to Orange Field.

The return route is from 3:45pm until 7:30pm. The route is Roemill Road, William Street, Protestant Street, Catherine Street, Linenhall Street. Main Street, Ballyclose Street, Rathmore Road/Scroggy Road and Main Street, Connell Street, Irish Green Street, Catherine Street . Remaining participants will follow the route towards the Roe Bridge, Lisnakilly Road, Baranailt Road, Moneyrannel Road.

Traffic diversions will be in place throughout the day and motorists are asked to be patient. Local access will be facilitated where possible.
