There is an ongoing serious incident on the railway line at Ballymena.
Police and other emergency services are currently at the scene of the sudden death of a woman near the railway tracks outside Ballymena.
The rail line has been closed following the incident and is expected to remain closed for some time.
Alliance MLA Patricia O’Lynn has appealed for information after the death of a woman near the railway tracks outside Ballymena. The line has now been closed and will remain closed for some time.
“This is terribly tragic news, which has shocked and saddened people in Ballymena,” said Ms O’Lynn.
“While the circumstances surrounding the death are not clear. I would appeal for anyone with information on this matter to contact police immediately.”
