Planning appeal lodged over Islandmagee glamping pod proposal

A planning appeal has been submitted by Ms. Claire Robinson in relation to planning permission for two glamping pods proposed for disabled use on Gobbins Road, Islandmagee.

Mid and East Antrim Councils planning committee refused the application in February of this year following a number of concerns by local residents that included road safety, wildlife habitat, general disturbance and nuisance, and loss of privacy.

Claims were also made by a local resident that the pods would be used as a tourist facility instead of a respite care facility.
