Police appeal for information after man assaulted in Coleraine

Police are appealing for information following a report of an assault in Coleraine in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 28th December.

In a statement to Causeway Coast Community this evening Sergeant Breen said: “It was reported at approximately 12.25am that a man was pulled off his bike and assaulted in the Railway Road area.

“He sustained injuries to his face during the incident.

“It is believed that the assailant then made off in the direction of the town centre.

“Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have any information which could assist with enquiries, to contact 101, and quote reference number 36 of 28/12/21.”
