Police are appealing for information regarding a car fire in Coleraine

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of a car on fire in Coleraine in the early hours of Tuesday, 31st May.

Sergeant Rowan Bailey said: “At around 3.30am, officers received a report of a black Volkswagen Golf alight in the Drumtarsey Road area. Colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire.
“The vehicle was left substantially damaged. Thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries.

“Our enquiries into the incident, which we are treating as arson, are ongoing. We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed any suspicious activity to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 140 of 31/05/22.”
