BREAKING : Portrush : Emergency services at scene of serious incident

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested following an incident at Glentaisie Park in Portrush in which a woman, aged in her 20’s, sustained injuries to her head.

The arrested woman is currently in custody assisting officers with their enquiries.

A PSNI spokesperson said "The investigation is at a very early stage, however, and officers would ask anyone with information about the incident to call them in Coleraine on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 186 16/09/21, or to submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

In a statement to Causeway Coast Community, a NIAS spokesperson said "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 05.21 on Thursday 15 September following reports of an incident on the Glenmanus Road area, Portrush.

"NIAS despatched one Emergency Crew to the scene. No one was taken from scene."
