Three detached houses have been proposed for Lands at Castle Erin Road, Portrush.
The site is located close to the coastline of the seaside town between the promenade and the railway line. It comprises a relatively flat parcel of land which then slopes steeply down to the Promenade and the beach.
The main part of the Castle Erin site now benefits from planning permission for dwellings and apartments, granted by Planning Appeals in 2020. That planning consists of the development of 10 semi-detached houses and 11 apartments.
A supporting planning statement says that the proposed development will provide a high quality and sustainable living environment close to the centre of Portrush. It will enhance this site and respect its setting. It will provide an attractive site layout and will meet all the requirements of ‘’Creating Paces’ and the policy tests of PPS 7."
The application will go before the planning committee within the next few months. The applicant is Sarcon (244) Ltd.
