Portrush Yacht Club, Commodore’s Regatta 2022

Portrush Yacht Club is delighted to announce the return of the Commodore’s Regatta to Portrush for the first time in 30 years.

The ambitious three day event is taking place between Friday 17 June and Sunday 19 June 2022. The programme includes; competitive dinghy racing, cruiser racing, canoe sailing, an open water swimming race across West Bay and a selection of traditional boats.

Teams and boats from across Northern Ireland and Donegal are expected to take part in the spectacle, which it’s hoped will become a feature in Portrush’s annual calendar.

Commodore Nigel Lynch said: “2022 is perfect year to bring the Commodore’s Regatta back to Portrush and highlights Portrush Yacht Club’s desire to promote water sports and engage with our local community.

“From humble beginnings, Portrush Yacht Club has now grown to be one of the largest clubs in Ireland and we’re proud of the facilities offered to members. Open to all, we hope this event will encourage more people to get involved with water based activities, particularly after the past two years.”
