Portstewart man dies in Ravenhill Road RTC

Jon O’Hara (47) was one of two men to have died in a crash on Belfast’s Ravenhill Road at the weekend.  

Jon who was originally from Portstewart moved to Belfast in later years.  

Mr O'Hara owned the Belfast outlet of kitchen makeover company Dream Doors situated on the Lisburn Road.

The second fatal victim of the serious crash has not been publicly identified at the request of his family, however, Causeway Coast Community understands he was aged in his late teens.

Tributes have been flooding in on social media with many describing Jon as a 'brilliant guy' and someone 'who lit up the room'.

Adrian Ursu, 32, was charged following the fatal two-vehicle collision on the city’s Ravenhill Road on Saturday night.  He also faces two counts of causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving in connection with others hurt in the collision.

District Judge Mark McGarrity remanded Ursu in custody, to appear in court again on February 21.
