Police received a report of an assault at licenced premises in The Promenade area of Portstewart in the early hours of Sunday morning, 2nd April.
A man in his late teens reported facial injuries.
Inspector Brogan said: “Enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing. We would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or who may have mobile phone footage which could assist our investigation, to call 101 and quote reference number 66 of 02/04/23.”
A press statement issued by The Anchor Complex reads, “We are aware of a video circulating social media. Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our customers and staff, and we take this matter extremely seriously.
The police have been notified, and we are cooperating fully with their investigation into the matter. As such, we are unable to provide any further comment or details at this time.
We have a strict, zero-tolerance policy towards violence on customers and staff – such acts will result in being removed from the premises and barred for life.”
