Princess Royal arrives in Ballymena to undertake a series of engagements

The Princess Royal has arrived in Northern Ireland to undertake a series of engagements.

The Princess Royal will first attend Ballymena Showgrounds.

A flagship celebration is being held in the Co Antrim town to mark the centenary of the work of the St John’s Ambulance with young people across Northern Ireland.

Her Royal Highness will meet with leaders, as well as Cadets and Badgers, learning more about the organisation’s range of youth programmes and activities. The Princess Royal will also meet with a number of young people completing the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.

To acknowledge the landmark anniversary, Her Royal Highness will cut a special centenary cake.
