The Queen’s Baton relay toured the Causeway Coast over the weekend ahead of the Commonwealth Games, stopping off at a range of community organisations, shining a light on individuals and groups who are making a difference within their areas.
Among a number of visiting locations throughout Northern Ireland was The Giant's Causeway.
The Relay began on 7 October 2021, with Her Majesty The Queen placing her Message to the Commonwealth into the Baton before it began its 294-day journey across all corners of the Commonwealth.
Staff at the Giant's Causeway were joined by the Birmingham Games 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay team and the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Ivor Wallace on Saturday morning.
The baton was accompanied during much of its four-day journey in Northern Ireland by Lady Mary Peters.
