Red Bay Lifeboat launched on service yesterday at 12.50pm to go to the aid of a 10m yacht 15.5 miles East of Cushendall.
The yacht with one person on board lost its rudder and requested assistance.
An RNLI spokesperson said "Conditions were difficult in the rough seas and strong winds. The lifeboat crew towed the vessel to Glenarm Marina arriving at 16.30. The rescue operation was coordinated by Belfast Coastguard."
