Causeway Giants American Football Team Gear Up for Busy 2020 Season

1 Mins read

The Causeway Giants are a full contact American football team based in Coleraine, formed in late 2018. Since forming they have participated in a full season of fixtures last season and are building up to their second season in IAFA (Irish American Football Association) League 2.

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community, the team said “We are formed of players, coaches and volunteers from all over Northern Ireland with the majority being from the North Coast area. “

“The team is open to all and aim to include everyone interested in the sport and the club committee works very hard at sourcing financial support to allow players the opportunity to participate in what at times can be an expensive sport to play.”

“Supported by Coleraine Football Club who very kindly allow use of their facilities for training and matches and we would like to go on record again to thank the Chairman and Board of Directors.

We would also like to thank our sponsors, without them we wouldn’t be able to continue playing the sport we love. Whitewater Brewery, Kiwis Brew Bar, Advanced Overwatch, URL Results, Mc Donalds of Coleraine, Moores of Coleraine and Subway Ballymoney.”

If you are interested in becoming a Giant by playing, coaching or volunteering, memberships are welcome all year round.

Get in touch via social media or drop into training 10am to 12pm on Sundays at Coleraine Showgrounds, Ballycastle Road.
