Two die and five injured in Ravenhill Road RTC

Two people have died and five others have been injured following a serious RTC on the Ravenhill Road, Belfast.

The crash happened shortly after 9pm last night.

Three casualties were transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital and two to the Ulster Hospital by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service where their condition remains unknown.

A NIAS spokesperson say they "despatched 4 Emergency crews, 3 Intermediate Care Crews, one Doctor and 2 ambulance officers to the incident."

Motorists are advised the Ravenhill Road, Belfast is still closed in both directions.

Diversions are in place at the Albertbridge Road and Shamrock Street, please seek alternative routes for your journey."
